I realise that English is not your first language, but what you write has to be understandable. Most native English speakers won’t understand ‘cates’ - just like Chinese people don’t understand ancient Chinese.

Also, ’skin’ would be better than ‘peel’. Peel is something we usually pull off to get to the stuff inside - like bananas.
I’ve also always hated the translation of jiaozi (饺子) as dumplings. They are nothing like dumplings. They are very like moon shaped ravioli, though.
