Black Bamboo Ditch (Hei Zhu Gou) is located in southwest of Sichuan Province of China. This is a primitive and mysterious virgin land. Because the Black Bamboo Ditch (Hei Zhu Gou) hides many mysteries not solved, local people name it “the terrific death valley”. It is known as too “Bermuda of China”.
There are a lot mysterious legends about Black Bamboo Ditch. Someone once found the savage’s trace in the Black Bamboo Ditch in the fifties of the 20th century; someone once found the huge bird which had one meter long wings in 1980s; and somebody had ever seen “Double-headed Beast”.
At the beginning of 1950, 30 soldiers of the Kuomintang army took the superior weapon, planned to pass through the Black Bamboo Ditch. But nobody come out after they enter. In June of 1955, two soldiers of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army transported the grain via the Black Bamboo Ditch, and the result is mysterious missing too.
In 1964, the Forest Resources Investigation Team planned to enter the Black Bamboo Ditch. They had invited two local hunters as the guide. When reaching the entry of the gorge, two hunters let off two hunting dogs into the gorge to explore. The first hunting dog is as nimble as monkey, disappeared in the gorge. But half an hour passed by, the hunting dog did not come back. The second hunting dog went to look for the partner, disappeared in the boundless and dark gorge mysteriously too. Two hunters worried and called their hunting dog loudly. Suddenly, the boundless and indistinct fog gushed out from the valley. Though the team members are very near, can’t see the other. The alarmed and panicky made them drip cold sweat. They hold their breath in fear. A few minutes later, the dense fog disappeared miraculously. Just like a nightmare. In order to ensure the safe, Team members had to return.
Three members of Forest Exploration Unit of Sichuan Province entered the Black Bamboo Ditch to explore in 1976, mysterious missing. Search and rescue teams found three skeleton three months later.
Black Bamboo Ditch is shrouded in mystery still so far. Perhaps people who disappeared in it know the truth.
